our little helper

As might be expected from a wonderfully dispositioned, kind, empathic, and all-around great three-year-old [when she isn'y having a three-year-old melt down], Eden could not wait to be a big help with Lydia. She helps changing diapers ...
Giving Lydia a bath ...

These pictures are from Lydia's first real bath (after the cord fell off)... E was in the tub and decided she had to get out just to help (decided is the wrong word perhaps - more like, simply got out of the tub and asked for a chair (dripping wet).

As soon as Lydia was wrapped up, it was back to fun time bath time ... with E saying, "Take my picture" ...

Lydia watching Eden be silly in the bath ...

...Eden being silly for Lydia - laughing because she found all the "E" letters on the shampoo bottle ...

We are dealing with how to tell Eden she cannot help all the time, but she is generally good (and always gentle). There have only been a few times where we were worried (for example, Eden trying to unwrap Lydia while she was asleep in the raised chair by pulling on her blanket sending Lyida rolling over) - for the most part Eden does not touch without asking and tells us when Lydia is crying as opposed to trying to solve it herself. She definitely does not like being told she is doing something she shouldn't, especially when she thinks she is helping ... but who does like to be corrected?
