For her birthday, Lydia received a suitcase - from her CC; it was Ashley's when she went to camp.
Ashley was inspired to take these pictures by a blog she reads - and we plan to use them in our Sunday School class this month as we go through Grace Based Parenting.
People often say "they grow up so fast. Turn around and they're gone." And while we try not to dwell on that fact but try to live in the moment and enjoy them as they grow and evolve, it is interesting to think ahead - what will they leave our house with? The suitcase metaphor is apt - what do we want our kids to pack in their suitcase? What are the "intangibles" that we want them to leave with? If we teach them anything, what is most important?
