On the Monday of our beach trip, since we were all well, we spent the morning on the sand and in the surf then packed the car around 10:30 and made the hour-and-a-half trip to Andalusia to visit Mama II and the Brooks clan (newest member, cousin Morgan!)
Lydia and Morgan played with each other in the tube - some version of hide-and-seek apparently - and enjoyed sharing toys (ie, making sure the other's toys tasted okay).

Of course, one of Eden's first requests ... Can you please read this to me? Aunt Denise was happy to oblige.
After lunch and some outside time at Mama II's house, we went to the Hardware - it has been in my family for 100 years, and its recent addition is Toyland USA. They have a full line of Melissa and Doug products
Eden really enjoyed the puppets and all the stuffed animals (some nearly as big as she is).
Lydia enjoyed the kitchen (because it had doors she could open and close).
Morgan showed off his new walking skills - which he had just done for the first time the night before ...
Lydia also really enjoyed the alligator walker - she is getting pretty good at that!
And not to be outdone, a walking Morgan!

When we were leaving, Eden really wanted something to take with her. Her choice? A new stuffy - a reindeer. We captured her first purchase at the Hardware (and Emily teaching her how to use the cash register ... something I used to operate a few years ago).

On the way out we stopped for some coffee - and Eden asked for a treat ... "something chocolate" ... a homemade brownie - very tasty!
We loved being able to spend time with Mama II and family - hope we get to head back soon!
