First, a few pics from earlier in the week ... ... CC came to visit for a few nights, and Graham made home-made bread pudding as a belated birthday present. Can you say, yum yum?!
We spent our time packing up hand-me-downs for the babies on the way and took the girls for some fun at the library and the mall after school. Momma and I even got to have lunch just the two of us before we picked up the girls. I'm really liking this part-time work thing.
Today, I spent the day at home having our new Girls' Friday Fun Day. Eden, Lydia, and I ended up having two friends over to play, one in the morning, one in the afternoon. As a result we had a clean house two times, just before each of the visits. Some highlights ... water painting ... ...
... literally "painting" with water. Playing restaurant with Landry ...
... making a jumpy thing and watching Lydia wish she could jump ...
... and watching Lydia wish to be where ever her sister was. Because of her new crawling skill, we put up the gate at the kitchen. She wanted to be in there with her sis so badly, but I wanted to be able to sit and eat my lunch. I won that one.
Wouldn't this bed as a twin be so cute if we had two some day in E and Lydia's sleep room? Eden wants to share a room with her sister now, but we told it would have to wait at least til L doesn't scream at night.
Dinner tonight was also interesting. Miss Lydia had her first "tasty" food. So far it has been all steamed and boiled, but tonight she got her first bite of food with added flavor -- red beans and rice ...
... by the end of the meal, E had made her favorite "soup" that she eats at Whole Foods -- cooked rice with milk poured on top. Yes, she eats it. And, yes, she usually eats dinner with a shirt on, but she spilled red beans on her shirt and after that she just couldn't wear it anymore.
Another fun Friday.

p.s. Lydia turned 9 months old today!! Who can believe it?
p.p.s At bedtime tonight, E was talking about how excited she was about the birthday party she's headed to tomorrow. She said while touching her hand the her chest, "My beater just bleeded with joy." So close, little one.
