sand is fun!

Well, it seems that Miss Eden just needed a little bit of peer-encouragement to get over her dislike of sand.

You'll remember that when we were actually at the beach with beautiful white sand, she wanted nothing to do with the stuff. Her exact word, "Yuck!" This afternoon, however, while we were at the park on a playdate with Keegan and his mommy Marie (friends from PDO), Eden went into the sandbox after Keegan and entertained herself there a good 10 minutes after he left.

I didn't even hear her mutter "yuck" under her breath. She hesitated for the first minute, but once I showed her how to use the shovels to fill other things up with sand she was hooked.

I'm really enjoying getting to meet some new friends and having people to actually do stuff with. Even more fun when the kiddos can parallel-play together so well!
