Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday began with a few baskets and bags filled with goodies ... play-doh, bunnie crackers, new underwear, and some mini cadburry eggs for Eden; desitin and a new wubanub for Lydia; Bunny puppets and a George book for them both from CC and Granddaddy.

Eden enjoyed showing Lydia Mr. and Mrs. Rab (short for Rabbit, very clever Eden)...

... and we must have played with play-doh for 3 days straight (it is now yellow-blue-pink-purple playdoh).

After some quality time at home, we got ready for church - and on the way out of the driveway picked some flowers for the flower cross in front of the sanctuary. After church was the obligatory family picture ...

... and a few pics with friends.

And a few more photos in the backyard, since they were so darn cute!

After pictures we had a basic lunch - sandwhiches and Ashley's first coke since the beginning of Lent!

We had our big meal for dinner - ham, green beans with sauce, squash cassarole and rolls. Then we went outside and had an Easter egg hunt. Eden found them first - then she had us each find them after she hid them (hiding them in the tree was the most fun for her).

Ashley was simultaneously thrilled to have a low-key family day and a bit bummed since it was our first without extended family with us or traveling to see them. We did our best to recreate lunch, starting our own tradition with a mix of food from her family and food from mine. It was not the same, but we had a great family Easter day.
