The Sunday of Keegan's party, Lydia stayed home from the day's activities because of a little moist nose. We thought it was nothing. By Monday, she had a really low fever, but by Tuesday she had a runny nose and her fever got up to 102.
By Saturday, the telltale rash of roseola showed up, which was actually a relief just to know what we were dealing with and that she was on the mend.
poor, poor baby
It was a crazy week, and definitely a challenge to just be at home without the ability to have friends for E to play with everyday {I/home cannot compete with school's daily circle time, playground time, song time, craft time, snack time, and 10 other friends}. I will say we did rather well -- one major strategy was to announce "Oh, it's time for (made-up activity)" and then do something/anything different like just going outside. It helped with E to make it all sound official.
Anyhow, some pics from our week at home {actually a lot of them since we didn't have a lot of other distractions} ...
practicing her full name
It was way too hard to explain roman numerals to a
4-year-old, so I updated our clock
took some pics of L on Sunday before the illness kicked in
I took a ton, and ended up with this one I love!

I want this in our next house - minus the staircase.
I'm thinking a pulley system to open the curtains
will go over great with E and her sis.
Since Lydia is now obsessed with climbing in and out
of this chair, it finally dawned on me to move it out to

Daddy got his new toy,
but had to wait a week to use it due to Lydia's fever.

I drew all the blue parts without her watching.
Then, I told her what each letter was supposed to be
and she finished it in red. I thought this game might be too hard,
but she blew through it like it was nothing. The version with
lower case letters was much harder. She didn't like it as much.

This was Monday, and baby girl was back!
Whew. What a week.

Poor baby! We were right there with you guys. So scary. Glad L is better too!
