Remember how I said our travels weren't quite done after we got back from our day-trip to Jackson? Well the Thursday after Father's day, Graham and the girls headed out to Mobile to spend the week with his family. I sure did squeeze in alot to my afternoon alone -- shopping trip to Target for "the essentials" ...
... a new haircut (that unfortunately ended up way shorted than I'd planned. It'll grow, right?) ...
... and shopping for a few new clothes at three different stores. By 7:00 I was tired and ready for my Daddy to get into town. The next morning, Daddy and I headed out on our drive to San Antonio to pick up my mom and let me take her place helping Whit for the week while Boston was away.
Turns our Boston was able to surprise Whit and came home a week early. I knew ahead of time but had to keep the secret. Only changed plans slightly since it allowed me to get an earlier flight home and see my babies sooner and let me and Whit actually get out of the house some and have and easier time while I was there.
Holding this little nugget was definitely the highlight of the week ...
Man, I love how much John Winters loves his books and loves his baby sister ...
Over the weekend, Laura Leigh had her first restaurant outing -- on the Riverwalk
... too funny that even in our sewing projects for our kiddos, Whit ended up with the bright colors and I'm the more neutral ones. Some things never change.
All the loving from this family, getting to sit in a room with my sissy, and have real conversations did my heart good. If someone can figure out how to make this happen more often, let me know!
