Round 1 of gifts happened on Christmas Eve when we called my sister, Sarah, and her husband, Robbie. They gave the girls superhero capes. Coolest. Gift. Ever.
Lydia had to take a break ...
We woke up on Christmas morning to stockings ... lots of good stuff like light-up toothbrushes, sticky note pads, and mini M&Ms.
Perhaps the biggest hit was a microphone from Hallmark. It plays songs you can sing along with and makes you sound like a chipmunk. We later found out that Lydia had one in her classroom prior to Christmas which might explain her asking for the microphone first thing upon waking the day after Christmas. She was obsessed and would walk around telling everyone to "Say you name" into the microphone.
