Mother's Day - is it really possible to limit the celebration of moms to one day? In fact, we should honor them year round. The person I am blessed to call the mother of my two girls deserves this day and many more. We are quite lucky to have her in our lives.
To celebrate, the girls picked out a Wonder Woman card [that played the theme song], and EB picked out a stuffed monkey that said #1 Mom (though she didn't quite know what it meant) which she had been asking for for about a month. After the girls gifted the monkeys to their Momma, they promptly asked to play with them and kept them the entire day.
On Sunday, we all got ready and headed to Sunday School and church, then had lunch at Burgersmith ... with one of Ashley's (and Lydia and EB's) favorite appetizers, fried okra!
Lydia enjoyed sucking off the ranch dressing, while EB had coke ... you know, cause it was a special day. Seriously. She asked in the car on the way there, "Dad. Since today is a special day can I have Coke?" I could not admit that it was not a special day, and on special days she can have Coke. She had me.
That afternoon Ashley got to get out of the house for a little shoe shopping. Cute ankles, too!
Happy Mother's Day! (That is what Lydia said over and over, all day ... "Happy Muders Day Mommy!" Too cute).

A- YOU LOOK INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!
