While her sister is turning from 1 to 2, our little EB is also doing some growing up.
She spelled this the other day with no help. Then once she realized she had done it right, she made one for every member of the family.
She is reading more and more - this was one of the first she read by herself, but she can pick up a book and sound out most of the words or just knows them as sight words. Amazing!
She is still our little intuitive genius ... she drew this on her Etch A Sketch then proclaimed "It is an old phone! Or an "F" if you turn it the other way."
She still LOVES the library ... and animals ... so it is great when the two things are together.
And as much as Lydia loves copying her, EB loves to help out with her little sister. She really is an amazing big sister - always thoughtful and tremendously helpful, singing songs in the car when L is fussy; feeding L or picking up something she dropped; sharing her colors and art supplies; and even giving L half of her toast when L is asking for more even though L already had 3 pieces for breakfast and EB had only 2. Amazing. We are working with her to get her to not snatch things from her sister simply because she can, but to ask L nicely instead.
All in all, she's continuing to turn into an amazing little girl.
