thanksgiving

On Thanksgiving day, we loaded the car and drove to Jackson for a Friday lunch with Ashley's family. Everyone was very happy to see us ...

Lydia entertained people by being cute -

and Eden, in addition to being cute, also displayed her mad writing skills by writing out "Britton -- net -- chicks" to tell him we donated a dozen chickens and a mosquito net in his honor for his birthday.

Decorations at the Jones house {provided by CC} include lots of artwork from Ashley and siblings (I am sure this collection will also eventually include some grandbaby artwork)

The table ...

and food...

The people eating the food at the table ...

The front door ...

and the half-hour-long photoshoot outside after lunch...

Apparently, one way to discipline a dog is to lie on top of it to assert your dominance - the things people do!

Chip and I proving that we did not, in fact, have a remote control in our hands and were not, in fact, messing with CC as she tried to change the channel on the TV.

For some reason, Eden decided that she would sleep on her "pallet" on the floor right next to her bed. Whatever works to get her to go to sleep.

On Saturday, we woke up and put on our gameday attire.

Then, albeit in futile fashion, cheered on the Tigers in the Iron Bowl and later that night cheered the Bulldogs on to victory over that other Mississippi team.

Ashley and Eden visited Chip's "new" office space  - recently he has added to and changed things up to accomodate new agents.

Here's Eden's Granddaddy with his championship team {He's the one holding his glove just on the right of the girl in the middle. She was his girlfriend.}

All in all, it was a great weekend.
