July 4th Weekend - The beginning

On Saturday, July 2, we woke up, packed the car, and headed for Jackson. We were a little leary of our first car trip with both girls. Somehow Lydia slept the whole way, ans Eden never needed to stop. We made it the whole way without stopping! By late that afternoon, we were in the pool cooling off from  the oppressive heat.

Eden has gotten pretty good at jumping from the steps and "swimming" to someone with outstretched arms. She does swim lessons in a few weeks and has a good base on which to build.

She also enjoys going high in the air ...

We also had a few photo shoots - Eden brought me the camera saying "Make the blinking thing go and we take some pictures." Translation - turn on the timer and take several pictures then let me look at them.

Lydia really enjoyed wearing this hat and getting her picture taken. Ashley was surprised to find it on the camera.
