2 month update

At her 2 month checkup on July 1, Lydia had the following stats:

• weight 8 lbs 15.5 ounces (think we can safely say she is 9lbs now)
• height 20 1/4 inches
• head circumference 14 3/4 inches

Her weight was around the 2nd percentile. Her height was almost on the chart, and her head circumference was around the 25th percentile. When E was this age, the doctor always adjusted her stats for being a month early. Lydia's doctor said, "I'm not worried. I don't expect her to ever be big."

At 2 months old, Lydia is ...

• holding her head up on her own and looking around
• staying awake and really alert for an hour or more after eating
• screaming crying if she is hungry or needs to burp
• skipping a feeding at night nearly every night and going back to sleep within an hour after starting her night time nursing session (within the hour is a major improvement)
• smiling and "talking" to us every day
• still generally wants to be held most of the day, at least for an hour after she nurses before you can successfully put her down to sleep on her own
• has definite fat rolls on her legs and little arms !!
• already a joy to her family
