We opened the door to our house at 10:15 pm Sunday night, woke up the next morning, and amazingly got to school and work on time. On Wednesday morning, we pulled out of the driveway at 4:02 am ... on our way to do Thanksgiving in San Antonio.
The girls (all three of them) slept until 7:00, when we pulled up to the Cracker Barrel in Beaumont, TX. We ate and played then piled back in the Pilot at 8:00, got some gas, and drove the rest of the way to Houston ... really Katy, TX where there is a mall with a trampoline play place that was supposed to be open at 10:00 - perfect timing as we pulled into the parking lot at 9:50. The sign on their door read, "Starting 11/21 we will be opening at 11:00, MWF." Perfect! {note the sarcasm, there} So we spent a grand total of three hours at the mall in Katy, TX. Thankfully, that meant we pulled out of Katy, Texas, at nap time for Lydia.
The entire drive took us 12 hours (it is only 400 or so miles), but we made it!
And it was ALL worth it ... Whitney had everything ready for our arrival and the girls got to start fun time with cousins ...
