end-of-summer fun

EB drew a phone booth, the door with it's handle is on the left. I was amazed at how often she traced her own lines to make the picture she wanted.

We went to a baby shower together at the Asevedo home, and EB came home with some passed-down toys from Grace, including these small plastic animals with crazy hair.

Graham had fun playing in the mud putting in the flower bed sprinklers ...

The other day EB decided we were having a party that night. Ended up that it was the kitten's birthday. Who knew?! I figured I'd indulge her since it was the last week of summer break. I hung balloons in the doorways with painters' tape; they were a huge hit.

We put M&Ms in little bowls and made oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, had some balloons around, and sang happy birthday to Buttercup. It actually turned out to be really fun.

I'm pretty bummed summer is almost over. It must be written all over my face since Graham could tell as soon as he walked in the room last night. Cailou is almost over, so I'm off to enjoy our last day of summer with my girls!
