and then, they went back

And if the entire week spent away from home wasn't enough, Ashley and the girls went back to Jackson on Thursday - I had a previous engagement in Stevenson, Washington speaking to people who want to build robots that act like humans. Ashley figured she'd either be tired at home with the girls alone or tired with her nephew and family in Mississippi. You can imagine what she chose.

One of our favorite places to stop along the way ... free coffee!

Ashley's primary motivation to go back was that Whitney was still there with Winters.

And we think Eden Brooks forgot to say goodbye.

Super Cousins

I left town on Thurday, and by Friday Eden Brooks was missing me ... I was quite touched getting this picture on my cell phone!

On the way back to Baton Rouge on Saturday, Ashley and the girls stopped at CFA for lunch. When they walked in, Eden exclaimed, "Look, Mom! Airplane flyers!" They were, in fact, Air Force, but perhaps Uncle Bebop should talk to her about the other branches of the military...

It was a crazy start to the semester to have nearly two weeks away from home, but we're thankful to have had family to share it with!
