At some point two weeks ago I could tell Ashley was feeling bummed. So, I asked what would help it really feel like summer. She said me staying home one weekday the next week and doing something as a family would help to forget that summer is coming to an end (sorry, it is). On Wednesday, we did just that. The day started by going to Leeward park for about 30 minutes before the museum opened.
Eden was a puppy for about 25 of those minutes.
At the museum we spent most of the time in one of the kids' rooms where there are lots of play things and a craft area.
When we came home, our good time was evidenced by Lydia acting like a goof and trying to eat the grape "tree" - seriously that is what she wanted and she kept putting it in her mouth and grinning really big like "Look at me! I'm so goofy!"
Eden colored a few pictures and had Ashley and me do the same (mine is not pictured, but now framed in a museum).
Then we played a few computer games while Lydia slept ...
and got a great idea to put on our swimsuits and wash the Pilot.
All around, it was a great day, and a great way to celebrate a wonderful summer.
