On April 3rd, Lydia turned 11 months old.
how Ashley and the girls celebrated the big day ...
- Her 11 month birthday was the first day she only nursed when she woke up in the morning {after her Bottle Bootcamp Weekend with me while Ashley was in OK}
- She is definitely taking two naps a day (9-10 and 2-4 most days), and can stay awake 4 hours or more. She sleeps from 7:30/8 to 6:30 or so in the morning pretty consistently without a dream feed!
- She loves to wiggle and squirm her way out of your arms in order to get down and crawl or to get to her sister or to get into something.
- She is standing for a second without holding on to anything and can do a slow squat to reach something she wants. Today (April 5) she practiced "walking" from me to Ashley while we held her for balance.
- She loves to bury her head in Ashley's shoulder and look at someone out of the corners of her eyes when they try to say hello - she has done this with me a few times, but it's mostly Ashley.
- She loves to "get her Momma" by crawling on top of her when Ashley is on the floor and then putting her head down on Ashley's chest
- She is eating all sorts of food - new things include pizza, mac n cheese, Amberjack (which she loves), big people oatmeal with formula, banana peals (she loves to chew on them), and hamburger
- She also loves to drink from a straw and is getting better and better (and will whine if you have a cup with a straw and don't give her any).
- She loves to play with any door she can. Thankfully our old doors are not fast and most do not close all the way easily ...
- She loves taking baths and now does so without a chair (which is fun because you end up chasing her all over the tub since she wants to stand up every other second and pull all the bottles down into the tub).
- She loves clapping her hands and will even sing you a tune.
- And, of course, she still loves to laugh at her sister...
At her check-up today for her ear infection {all clear!}, she weighed in at 16 lbs 1 oz. She's getting bigger and cuter every day. Hard to believe she'll be 1 so soon ...
