So we have our first parent-teacher conference with EB's first grade teacher. EB and Lydia came with and were in the room during the discussion. While they played, we talked. And, of course, EB was very attentive to all we were saying. She would randomly add in comments, that were of course right on point, from across the room throughout our conversation with her teacher. She was definitely paying attention.
How do we know? Well, it is a hunch of course, but we think she took the comment by her teacher that "spelling is not really her thing" to heart. The next spelling pre-test the following Monday ...
Yep. 100%. Guess it can be her thing if she wants.
