out about town - San Antonio - Texas

One night for dinner, we went to this cool restaurant that had a huge outside play area, complete with astroturf ... though the kiddos found the one spot of dirt down in a remote corner. CC had a special date with Laura Leigh at home and the rest of us headed out for a few hours.

We had to wrangle the kids to get them to go home...

Later, Ashley and CC took the kids to HEB, and Lydia and Winters were in heaven being in the same cart. They got lunch - fresh made tortillas! What? Of course, the local super-grocery in San Antonio has a fresh tortilla station.

Overall, we had a wonderful weekend with Whit, Winters, CC, and Laura Leigh. Definitely worth the 20 or so hours on the road. On the way back to Baton Rouge, we stopped by IKEA - Lydia got to sit in her own high chair. When Ashley told her it was just like Henry Winters's, she said she needed to take it home.

We shopped, had dinner, and killed some time stretching so the girls would sleep a bit (4-5 hours from Houston to BR),
