The girls were excited especially with their bunny stuffies and Pez.
Ashley did a solid with the pencil caddy ... SAWEEEEET!
After breakfast and finding all the hidden eggs in the house (including 2 special golden eggs, since EB had been so disappointed at earlier egg hunts when she didn't find them), EB asked Ashley point blank, "Are you the Easter bunny?" Graham intervened and said, "Well, what do you think? Was there stuff out when you woke up?" She said again to Ashley, "No, I just want you to tell me. Are you the Easter bunny? I promise not to tell anyone else." Well, with that serious and direct asking, Ashley had to admit it, so she said, "Yes, it's a lot of fun to pretend to be the Easter bunny, and lots of people really enjoy celebrating Easter by pretending." EB said, "Ok" and then went right back to coloring. Lydia didn't hear any of the conversation, despite being in the room at the time.
Later in the morning, the girls got to watch me play drums at church -- Daddy's little groupies ...
The flower cross was set up for us to take a family pic.
We had a special Easter dinner with family and friends later that evening ...
... and even used the good china!
CC and Granddaddy drove down to join in on the fun.
All in all, a lovely day.
