Last month we went to the WHAM awards ceremony to see EB get her Hands and Heart award. The Kindergarten students started things off with the national anthem ...
EB getting her award...
One student was chosen from each Kindergarten class to receive the Hands & Heart award for the 3rd 9 weeks. We were told by other parents with older kids that this is a really big deal. The Hands & Heart award was the only award chosen by the classroom teachers. Mrs. Clare said of EB that she not only helps adults but is always there to help her classmates if they are sad or need something, helping them to feel better.
EB was in school with Samuel for several years at PDO; he won the Hands & Heart award for his K class. So sweet!
We're so proud of our 6 year old!!!!! We can often hear her words of encouragement or concern for her sister (along with the disagreements and frustration, of course). We were so proud to know that her concern for others is something that carries over into her interactions with people at school, too.
