Our New House: The Dining Room

When you come in the front door, the dining room is on the left. Here it is on day one ...

Excuse the very formal tablecloths -- I thought the girls would like a tent to hide in.

When you go into the dining room and look to the right, you see where the previous family had their TV mounted to the wall. They used this room as their media room, hence the doors, ceiling fan, and this spot that used to be a doorway to the kitchen (can you see the subtle notch in the baseboard?).

This is the other side of the wall in the kitchen, where the walkthrough should be ...

We're hoping to have someone out in the next few weeks to give us an estimate on putting the doorway back in as well as switching the chandelier and ceiling fans in the den and dining room. Hopefully, now that the last box has been moved out, we'll start to use this room more.
