As you can see, Lydia has been in a bit of a mommy phase for the past month. This Father's Day portrait completely captured things on that day. She was not happy that I was a few feet in front on her but wasn't holding her. Over the past month, she started screaming if Graham went in to get her in the mornings, even though he's done that for the entire second year of her life. The other day he asked for a kiss, and she said, "No, Mommy" and immediately gave me one. Despite her craziness, her Daddy could always win her over with a game of chase or hide-and-seek. She adores those games with her Daddy.
After weeks of always wanting mommy, she has finally mellowed out these past few days and has happily let Graham do breakfast with her in the morning. Thankfully.
Oh, and the picture above shows Graham with his Father's Day gift -- an Auburn-colored bow tie that EB insisted we get him. Great gift!
EB was quite tickled with herself when she dressed up as Daddy. Fun times ...
