no more

Some things have been changing lately ...

  • Georgia ... Over the summer, we've started to get a bit careless about bringing Georgia with us everywhere, but E didn't seem to notice. Now, if we ask her if she wants to grab Georgia  before we leave, she just says no-that's ok. She'll still want her every now and then, and sometimes likes her to sleep with. For the most part, though, Georgia just isn't needed anymore.
  • Sound machine ... Earlier in the week, E told Graham that she did not like her sound machine -- the sound machine she has slept with nearly every night since she was a few months old. We thought it might be a fluke, but every night since then she has emphatically told us she does not like it anymore. Last night, she said she just wanted to use her sound machine when she goes out of town like to CC's and Nona's.
  • Quiet Time ... It seems like since Lydia has started napping after lunch, we just haven't paid as much attention to E's afternoon quiet time. As soon as I head into Lydia's room to put her down for a nap, E makes a bee line for the couch to watch a show {she can only watch when L is asleep}. She gets one hour per day and takes every minute of it. After that, she's just not ready for more down time. If I tell her it's time to "play in her room," she wants to be by herself for a while. But, if I say it's "quiet time," she is completely opposed. Sometimes, it really is all in the label.
