Two Saturdays ago, we drove on down to New Orleans for the day to have a birthday lunch with the family and see them off as they began their week long cruise in the Carribean to celebrate CC's big birthday. We ended up all having lunch together and Landry's in the French Quarter, and Eden entertained us with ballet as we waited on the food.
CC was surprised and excited about the birthday cruise shirts that Granddaddy had made for the occasion.
One of the waiters said he had seen me take a lot of photos but that I hadn't been in one. At least we got one group shot ...
We ended up walking the Riverwalk with Bebop and Whitney and then met up with everyone at the ship to hug them goodbye. As we left, we strolled back through the Riverwalk, enjoyed some beignets, and even waved to the fam on the cruise ship while Eden talked to them on the phone.
Little Lydia was a trooper! She napped in Graham's arms for 20 minutes during lunch and then made it the rest of the afternoon awake until we headed out of town around 4. Poor thing was exhausted as she drank a few ounces before sacking out in the car. We were really happy to be able to see everyone off, and while it was a bit nervewracking to have my entire family on one ship in the ocean for a week, they all made it back safe and sound.
