The week before November each year brings our big, National conference. This year it was in New Orleans - a perfect location for Ashley's first night away from Lydia (or vice versa, but the former is more indicative of what happened).
Thankfully, CC was able to join us in Baton Rouge for most of the week so Ashley and I could drive back and forth to New Orleans for different parts of the conference {we certainly couldn't miss Eden's first ever performace -- her Thanksgiving celebration at school}.
Wednesday night, Ashley headed down to the Big Easy so that she'd be there bright and early the next morning for her presentation -- it was her first full night away. On Friday, I was already down in New Orleans, and Ashley came again for a night of lavish parties, champagne toasts, and ... well, really it just meant catching up with old friends and a night of uninterrupted sleep! And that was enough.
Eden's Granddaddy joined in the Baton Rouge fun over the weekend. Reports indicated that SuperGirl and SuperBoy had a grand time reading books and wearing capes and homemade crowns.
