first field trip

On December 1st, Eden went on her first field trip! The class got to go to a huge Christmas tree farm in Zachary, LA to pick out the tree for the school.

Perhaps the most exciting thing, however, was the big yellow school bus! Eden's first time on one of those ... (can you tell how excited she was when she first saw the bus?)

Along the way, she picked a flower for her teacher, Ms. Kyra ...

The end of the visit was finished off with a hay ride around the farm. I was thankful that CC was in town to help share this fun day. It was a much needed break from the continuous grading and time spent in the "office." Here's the big girl headed back to the bus ...

And, if you're wondering, the report was that they did sing "Wheels on the Bus" while on the bus.
