one-month update

Lydia went in for her one-month checkup last Monday (May 30).  She was a whopping 6 lbs. 12.5 oz and 19 inches long (head circumference was 13 3/4"). The best news was that Dr. Ferrell told Ashley she could let Lydia sleep during the night - we had been setting an alarm and waking up every 3 hours to make sure she was fed well enough. Woot! Woot! She is still waking up every 3-4 hours, but still, no alarm is a good first step.

She is definitely staying awake alot longer, especially around 3 am most mornings when I am watching either really bad infomercials or movies from NetFlix.

Her baths are also going more smoothly - she just sort of lies there, looks around, and lets us bathe her.

Sometimes she is eating every hour for several hours straight - but then she will usually give us a few hours of sleep. Her hair (as you can see) is still all there, and her eyes are still dark blue (like Eden's were at that age). She's also still a really loud nurser, grunting all the time (and grunting in general much more than we remember from last time).

Overall, her great disposition and having a growing, healthy baby girl make life really good.
