A new start ...

We woke up this morning to the sounds of E talking to herself {instead of the crying that has been her waking up the past week -- perhaps a sign that she is really starting to feel better}. Plus, her Daddy felt well enough to get her up this morning so I got to stay warm and under the covers until they both joined me for some early morning book reading.

As we start out our new year, we have spent the morning checking out pictures and babies while Daddy made a yummy quiche and bacon ...

... Eden stole the very best part of the crust, one of her trademark moves ...

Then, we played a little chase-the-naked-baby ...

... and we played with the "new toy" ...

As you may remember, Betsy always seems to get sick when Eden does so she of course needed a breathing treatment this morning ...

Then, we finally got ready for the big game today, and Eden and Daddy posed for a few photos ...

She couldn't leave the bathroom without brushing her teeth {a.k.a. sipping water from the toothbrush over and over again}.

And watching some Sesame Street before the game ...

We just finished eating some yummy black-eyed peas and cornbread {good luck for us!}. All this, and it's only 11 a.m. I'm off to read more books to E while we finish watching the game and then hopefully some house organizing this afternoon. Hope you're all enjoying a great start to the new year!
