Recently, Eden has become obsessed with baby bowls ... "Baby bowl. Baby bowl." she'll say over and over. This morning the obsession was confirmed when I asked if she wanted eggs. "No." So I proceeded to unload the diswasher. "Baby bowl! Baby bowl! she screamed excitedly. There it was in the dishwasher all nice and clean. So she took it and pretended to eat out of it with her purple spoon. "Do you want eggs in your baby bowl?" I asked. "Yes."
So, I cooked the eggs, and she ate slightly more than one egg. She has not wanted to eat eggs for at least two weeks now. I had initially attributed it to her sickness and nothing really tasting all that great. But could there be another reason?
My hypothesis: eggs out of the baby bowl will be eaten whereas eggs off of the highchair tray will not.
Result: confirmation of hypothesis - egg pieces on the tray - "No daddy." followed by her putting them in the discard pile {one of the two cup holders on the side of her tray where we have taught her to put things she does not want so they do not end up on the floor or walls}. The exact same egg pieces in the baby bowl {litterally me picking them out of the discard pile and putting them in the bowl} - "Mmmmm." followed by her putting them in her mouth.
Conclusion - the baby bowl is magic.
