She is 4.

We started the day with our family birthday tradition ... beignets.

(with a candle)

We sang ...

... we blew ...

... we signaled our age with our hands (though some of us have to use more than one hand).

After school (where she was crowned with a green birthday crown and they ate fresh LA strawberries for snack), we met up with some of her friends at the park. They played for a bit ...

... then sang Eden Happy Birthday.

Then we "let them eat (cup)cake(s)"

After the eating, Eden opened a few presents ...

... and we played some more (well most of us did, some of us just watched others play).

Eden decided that she liked roaring like a lion while swinging ...

Eden's school birthday crown -

and a new pair of shoes from Aunt Coco and Uncle Britton.

After an hour at gymnastics, all she wanted to do (after eating pizza from her favorite restaurant) was to use her new art set.

As you might expect, she crashed and slept all night (though I woke up at 1:30 by being kicked, see last post).

We can hardly believe there is a four-year-old in the house ... ... my goodness, we love this little girl!

  1. Happy birthday Eden! All time favorite photo: swinging on her belly... love the raw emotion & face-contorting speed. So fun! :)
