A Visit from Aunt Beverly
Since she lives so far away, we made sure to coordinate a trip to Mobile and Andalusia when Beverly would be in town. Just so happens she had planned to visit around early November - and there was a family reunion at the same time (pictures to come).
First stop was the airport! We got into town around 2:00, and Beverly landed around 4:00 - perfect timing!
We hung out in the backyard at my parents' house ... playing on the swingset -
and enjoying the great weather.
On Friday morning we woke up, packed the car, and headed for Andalusia. It was Lydia's first time to meet Mama II ...
... also important are Aunt Denise (our Auburn outfit connection) and little cousin Morgan (who is younger but not smaller).
But for the most part we wanted to just enjoy everyone's company and let Mama II enjoy holding her two great granddaughters.
and her great grandson.
Of course, a 3.5 year old is not content with chilling alone - plus Mama II has an AMAZING backyard [Colin and I were talking this past weekend about how it seemed so huge as kids; I think Eden felt some of that this visit]
There are flowers to smell...
... limes to pick (we got over 50 this trip) ...
I would pull them down with the pullermajigger (official name), and Eden would run and find them, collect them in her shirt, then take them to our basket.
She also stopped to count them every once-and-a-while.
Then it was time to carve pumpkins! Ashley and Emily went to the Hardware to grab a carving kit. Eden decided on a witch! Very scary. Ashley and Eden traced out the design ...
...then it was time to cut!
